More Questions & Answers
What do I need to bring to class?
Comfortable clothes and a jacket or sweater. Everything else is provided. We'll provide the course material, beverages, snacks and your Certificate of Completion!
What do the classes cost?
The cost of PERSONAL & HANDGUN SAFETY is $69.95 for persons registering in advance. Two or more persons registering together may take the course for $64.95 each. Walk-ins may take the class for $79.95. This fee covers all classroom materials.
Persons who have completed the PERSONAL & HANDGUN SAFETY class may participate in a RANGE SESSION. The first RANGE SESSION costs $59.95--subsequent ones $39.95.
We offer the 3-hour RANGE SESSIONS on Sunday afternoons twice each month. (You do not need a handgun to participate in a range session--we can provide one for your use at no additional charge. Simply let us know you need a "loaner".)
IMPORTANT NOTE: While a range session is not required for a Concealed Handgun Permit in Virginia, we strongly recommend you obtain formal instruction in shooting fundamentals, especially if you're new to handguns or it has been awhile since you've practiced.
What is the refund policy?
If you're unable to attend the classroom or range session for which you're scheduled, you will be permitted to attend one at a later date at no additional charge.
Will I be safe?
We take the safe handling of handguns seriously. While they are not inherently dangerous, handguns can be lethal when mixed with ignorance or carelessness. We will not compromise our safety or the safety of any participant. Any participant who exhibits an unsafe or cavalier attitude, or treats other participants with less than full respect, will not be allowed to complete the class.
